Course Details and Policies

This class is taught by Jeremy C. Reed. Reed is a NetBSD committer (developer). For the past four years, he has managed a few websites covering BSD news, howtos, and advocacy, including BSD Today and BSD Newsletter.com. He has written several articles (for various media) teaching about and promoting BSD operating systems. As a head Unix admin for a multi-state ISP and as a consultant, Reed has installed, upgraded, patched, maintained and configured various versions of NetBSD (as well as other BSD and Linux operating systems). He is a maintainer of several pkgsrc packages. And Reed has built custom NetBSD auto-installer boot disks and live NetBSD CDs (used for demonstrations, system rescues, back-up servers, et cetera). Reed has taught over 40 workshops and classes covering open source and Unix administration concepts.
